17.04.10 Part B

So we went for a bike ride.. 14kms.. taking us just on an hour.. Came home had a lovely lunch and a small snooze in the hammock..

Around 3pm Gem says to me "can we go for a run now Mum..?' So off we go for the 6km loop.. all 3 of us with concrete stumps for legs..Now we could only jog about half way today before our minds gave into the pain in our legs and then we continued the rest of the way in a walk..

Tomorrow we are riding our bikes to take back some DVD.. not sure how far that is but we will measure and let you know tomorrow..

Rest day on Monday... because on Tuesday night we are going to the runners club to start training sessions for a fun run in August... The lady next is organising it, so no getting out of it.. What have I done..?

Daily quote part B: Fatigue is my friend.. apparently!

  1. Well Slave Driver ! Yes, did the training with Rach and the girls. They are all amazing.
    Came home on Saturday and shopped and cleaned and did no training at all.
    Off on a 15 klm bike ride Sunday that took an hour and a half (not nearly as fit as the girls yet)and it nearly killed me.
    Off on a 5 klm very fast walk with Jackie over the road (who has lost 49 kilos)and we are bike riding together this afternoon as well.
    Here is what I know. I can make the bike leg of the triathalon, and the run leg, and the swim leg. I just can't do it all on the same day yet. WHAT WAS I THINKING !
    Big thanks to Rach, Courts and Gem, for their love and their "cheering, com'on Nanny you can do it". Goal for April, get the routine of training happening.
    Sarah, you have a lot to answer for ! Thank you for helping me find a reason to invest in myself. My lovely girl, you have no idea just what a life saver you have turned out to be.
